Within the first week of knowing Dwayne, Randal’s dreams had drastically changed. His usual dreams were colorful and normally involved swimming in a sparkling pond or enjoying a confusing trip through a giant school. His most recent dreams were the opposite. Dreams about a wolf chasing a rabbit or Randal laying in a dark pool of some type of thick liquid with floating lifeless bodies around him. Although they were all horrific, one dream stuck out from the rest. One he could never forget, no matter how hard he tried.

The dream started out with Randal running through a dark forest. He didn’t know who or what he was running from, all he knew was that he couldn't stop. He weaves through trees and jumps over rocks while panting and sweating. After running for what feels like forever, he stumbles upon a clearing where a dark figure is hunched over a small animal of sorts. The figure has it’s back to Randal and it appears to be eating something. Randal looks a bit closer and realizes the figure is eating the innards of a white lamb, he takes a step back as it turns around to face him. The figure is none other than Dwayne, there’s blood running down his chin and a wicked smile spread across his face. His eyes look wild and crazed. Randal immediately wakes up in a cold sweat, Dwayne’s face engraved in his mind.

After Dwayne’s monologue in the forest, he looks at Randal the same way he had looked at him in his dream. His hair disheveled and blood running down his chin from where his piercing used to be. This snaps Randal out of his paralyzing fear and he finds the strength to get up and run.
