Born in and grew up in Chestermere, Alberta, Canada. Moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1994 with family. Starts testosterone at 22 years old, topical. Main interest as of 2004 is the ocean, specifically fishing boats and aquatic annelids (ocean worms).
Has a female calico cat named Gustav.
Pretty normal childhood, was bullied in middle school for being a "tomboy" before transitioning. Bullied in high school for being transgender. Because of the bullying, Randal closed himself off from everyone he knew and started being violent towards people. This lasted into adulthood, until he moved out. His one and only friend, Lana, helped him open up again. They keep in touch when Randal moves away from Sherbrooke.
Has 2 sisters around the same age as him, he is the middle child. Parents aren't divorced. His family accepts him for being transgender but doesn't fully understand what it means, they are easygoing and will support anything as long as it is not harmful. Parents own a shirt printing company where Randal works during high school.
Randal works at a bakery for 2 months after meeting Dwayne Greene, he eventually gets tired of it and quits. Finds a job at a Nordic spa down the street and gets hired to give customers massages although he has no proper training. He does small jobs around the spa until someone needs a massage. It’s probably illegal. This is how he meets Ophelia in the alternate ending.

Suffers from brain damage after the forest . Only symptoms are brain fog, dizziness, drowsiness, extreme emotion, and problems processing information. These symptoms last a couple months.
